Senior Pastor

Kevin edwards

Senior Pastor

Pastor Kevin has served as senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Clayton since it first began in 2008. Prior to the establishing of this fellowship, Kevin served as an elder at Calvary Chapel Cary, North Carolina. While Kevin served there in various ministries including teaching in the children's ministry, he found the joy of his life: simply serving Jesus Christ.

Calvary Chapel of Clayton began as a Thursday night Bible study on February 21, 2008. With a strong emphasis on teaching God’s Word verse by verse, the church has grown to minister to approximately 400 people weekly with a variety of outreaches and ministries.

Pastor Kevin currently teaches Sunday morning services along with an evening service on Wednesday. His commitment to discipling other men and leaders as well as continuing to lead the congregation in missions and outreach is having a powerful impact on the lives of many.

In more than 10 years of ministry, Kevin and his wife Lisa have seen their family grow strong and united in serving the Lord. The desire of Kevin’s heart is to see his congregation grow spiritually while reaching the town of Clayton, our nation and our world, that people may be transformed by the Good News of Jesus Christ. Kevin continues to heed God's call by passionately studying His Word, prayerfully seeking the Lord’s direction for His church, and vigorously pouring love into the lives of the people God leads his way – persevering until He comes!

David graham

Assisting Pastor: Teaching and Financial Accountability.

David was born in Florida and raised in a Christian home in South Carolina. He accepted Christ at age 12 and was involved in the youth group at his Church. During his college years his immaturity was evident in his indulgence of the things of the world and as a result the works of the flesh. After graduation, he received an offer to work for a company in New Mexico. He met his first wife there and subsequently moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. After being married less than a year, his wife was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. At this point his prayer life consisted of asking for physical healing. She passed away 4 years after being diagnosed. His mom had also passed away from cancer 4 months prior, so needless to say he questioned God’s plan for his life. God used radio ministry to draw David back to Him as he begin listening to Bible teaching and contemporary Christian music. Come to find out God did know what He was doing as he was then introduced to Lisa, his wonderful and beautiful wife. God opened the door for him to move to Clayton, NC in late 2002 and he began to listen to Pastor Rodney of Calvary Chapel of Apex, on his commute to and from work. He flew back to El Paso in December of 2002 for his wedding and told Lisa he found a Church. They began attending and got plugged into a home fellowship in Garner. They've been involved with Calvary Chapel Clayton from the beginning. He and Lisa are blessed with 2 children together and I have also been blessed with 2 step-children.

His favorite Bible verse is-  "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." -Romans 8:28
