WHO IS THE ROCK MINISTRY?

The mission of Rock Ministries (https://www.therockphilly.org) is to provide youth at risk in the inner city of Philadelphia with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through mentoring, Bible study, activities and an organized sports program.

The Rock’s neighborhood is among the poorest in America, with high rates of homelessness, fatherless homes, drug addiction and hopelessness. Their adjacent blocks comprise one of the most active drug areas in the country. All this means that they are surrounded with nearly endless ministry opportunities!

We will stay with them in their facility and serve alongside their inner city missionaries. Our service opportunities may include:

  • Street outreaches to the community, Children’s activities in the neighborhood and with Rock youth ministry, Evangelism, Facility renovation and maintenance, VBS, and participation in other Rock events.
